Getting Unstuck is a 6-week online coaching programme that begins on Monday 4th July 2022.
Behind these digital doors, you’ll learn a step-by-step formula that will help you change your relationship with alcohol for good. This is a group coaching programme. Lessons are posted daily in an online classroom and delivered via a mix of multi-media, to keep things fun and interesting. In our private, student-only community, you’ll be able to post questions, share experiences and help each other. (Think of it as your very own sober support network.)
Getting Unstuck is structured in a way that fits into your busy schedule.
Each lesson is around 20 minutes long, so you can learn, implement and take action as quickly as possible without any overwhelm. You can access the lessons from your phone, laptop or computer, 24/7. Each week builds on the previous week and the course works best when you complete the lessons daily (but don’t worry about falling behind – you’ll have lifetime access to the course material).
I’m here for you.
As well as the daily lessons, I’m on hand every day to answer your questions and make sure you get help fast. You can leave me a message in our private community group and I will respond to you personally within 12 hours. We’ll also meet once a week on Zoom for a group call, to chat through anything you’d like extra help with.
Connect with like-minded women from around the world. You’ll build incredible relationships with people who understand exactly how you feel.
As with any big lifestyle change, sometimes you need a little help staying on track. Together, we’ll make sure you stay motivated and keep up the momentum.
Stopping drinking means finding new, healthy coping mechanisms. You’ll finish the course with all the tools and techniques you need to live a sparkly, sober life.
Posted a day at a time, the lessons are a mix of videos, audios, worksheets, journal exercises and pep talks to help you change your thinking around alcohol.

“I would highly recommend this to anyone – anyone who’s got to the point where they think, ‘I don’t know what to do anymore.'”
“I actually have a life now! Before when I was drinking, I felt like a shell of a person… Now I’m experiencing life for what it truly is.”
“The course helped me be positive about giving up drinking and I felt less isolated – it was full of women very like me.”
“Kate made me feel that I wasn’t a horrible person for drinking too much – there were reasons for it and I could change.”
“The debunking of the myths about alcohol really helped me. Once we boiled it all down, I really couldn’t think of a single benefit.”
“My life has improved immensely. I wish I knew about this course 20 years ago, my life would look very different.”
Hi, I’m Kate – the founder of The Sober School. I spent my twenties locked in a cycle of heavy drinking, black-outs and monster hangovers. I hated the way alcohol made me feel, yet I was terrified of having to stop. Sobriety sounded so dull and boring, like a punishment for bad behaviour. When I finally decided I had to stop drinking for the sake of my health, I was disappointed to discover there was very little support available.
What I really wanted was modern, affordable, no-nonsense advice that left me feeling inspired and empowered. I wanted help from someone who understood what I was going through and who could reassure me that yes, I was making the right decision! But nothing like that seemed to exist. The Sober School is the company I created to help other women who find themselves in the same position. Getting Unstuck is the course I wish had existed when I was looking for help.
Deciding to live alcohol free is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Ultimately, it’s about so much more than not drinking. It’s about finding out who you really are and being the best version of yourself. We only get one life – so don’t let something like alcohol hold you back!
We’ll meet on Zoom once each week – we’ll alternate between Thursdays and Fridays.
Week 1 Call: Friday 8th July
Week 2 Call: Thursday 14th July
Week 3 Call: Friday 22nd July
Week 4 Call: Thursday 28th July
Week 5 Call: Friday 5th August
Week 6 Call: Thursday 11th August
On Thursdays, the calls will begin at 8pm UK time (that’s 3pm in New York, midday in LA). On Fridays, the calls will start at 4pm UK time (that’s 11am in New York, 8am LA).
If you can’t make it live, that’s no problem – you will get just as much out of watching the recording back afterwards!
Not at all. This class will be an international group, with women from the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand all taking part. Everyone gets the same lesson on the same day – so whilst we might be in different timezones, and logging in at different times of day, we’ll go through the class together!
It’s really straightforward – I like to keep things simple! The course lives on its own, private website. After you sign up, you’ll register as a student on the site and create your own username and password.
The course begins on Monday 4th July and lessons will be released a day at a time. Everyone gets the same lesson on the same day, and you can log into the classroom whenever you like. (You don’t need to log in at a specific time of day.)
At the end of each lesson there’ll be space for you to post your thoughts and comments, if you want to share. (It’s an incredibly supportive and non-judgemental space.) I’m in the classroom every day, so I can answer any questions you may have and support you through this journey.
Absolutely. I’ve had some students keep themselves to themselves throughout the entire course and they’ve still got incredible results. It’s completely up to you how much you contribute to the discussion at the end of every lesson. Even if you’re a bit shy, I suspect you’ll be impressed by the vibe of the group and you’ll want to participate in the end! You’ll get incredible value from the support and ideas of these other intelligent and caring women.
That’s fine – most people aren’t. When you start thinking about stopping forever, it gets pretty overwhelming, doesn’t it? Most people join Getting Unstuck because alcohol is getting them down and they suspect they’d be better off without it. If that’s you, then I think you owe it to yourself to explore the options. I recommend doing the course and committing to six weeks of sobriety. Then see how you feel at the end. That’s it. Don’t worry about the future or think too far ahead. You’ll be amazed how much changes in 6 weeks!
Absolutely not. The course fee will show up as ‘Kate Bee’ on bank statements and PayPal accounts. When you enrol on the course you’ll need to pick a username, but this can be anything you like.
The course itself is not on Facebook. The lessons and group discussions are all integrated on one, private website. I like to steer clear of Facebook because not everyone uses it and some people want to remain completely anonymous.
The course costs £497 if you pay in full. If you opt for the payment plan, there will be four monthly payments of £140, with the first instalment taken on the day you register.
I’m based in the UK, hence why I charge in British pounds. However, I have a lot of women join from America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and many other parts of the world.
Exchange rates vary day by day, so if you’re trying to work out the cost in your currency, the best thing is to type it as a question into google. You can literally write, “What is £497 in [insert currency here]?”
Alternatively, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can look it up for you.
At checkout, you can pay in your currency. The money is then transferred to me in pounds.
I know that the strategies you’ll learn in this programme work. (It’s the exact same process that’s been behind my own successful sobriety and those of my students.) Plus, I’m pretty confident you’ll love the course – 96.5% of my students say they would recommend the programme to a friend*.
Freeing yourself from the alcohol trap is life changing, and I want you to feel really good about making this investment in yourself and your future. That’s why I offer a 7-day money back guarantee. If, by the end of the first week, you feel the course isn’t for you, I’ll refund your enrolment fee. That’s how confident I am in the quality of this programme. You can read the terms and conditions of the refund policy here.

Somehow this page has made its way in front of you. Maybe you’ve been following The Sober School for a while because you’re fed up of feeling hungover. Maybe you’ve stopped drinking before, but found it really hard work. Either way, I think you’re reading this for a reason. If you really want to change your drinking – and feel great about it – then perhaps it’s time you stopped trying to figure it all out on your own.
Successful sobriety is not just about abstinence. It’s not about testing your willpower or seeing how long you can cope with missing out. It’s about creating a sober life you love – one where you genuinely don’t want to drink. That’s true freedom. It might sound impossible now, but if I can do it, so can you. All you need are the right tools, the right support system and the right guide.
