Thank you for visiting The Sober School. You are purchasing access for one (1) person to the Getting Unstuck October 2022 course. By signing up, you are agreeing to the terms below, including our refund policy and medical disclaimer.
thesoberschool.com is managed by The Sober School Limited, registered in England & Wales. Company number 09870210. Our registered office is Suite 1, Lower Ground Floor, One George Yard, London EC3V 9DF.
Services, courses and advice provided by The Sober School are NOT aimed at any person who suffers from alcohol dependency or any other medical conditions. If you are (or suspect that you may be) physically alcohol dependent or are suffering from any other medical conditions, you must seek specific medical advice from a medical professional before reducing or stopping your alcohol intake.
Depending on your previous level of alcohol consumption, the physical consequences of stopping abruptly can be very serious. If you or someone you know needs more immediate support or treatment to reduce your alcohol intake, please contact your doctor or a healthcare professional.
The information provided by The Sober School does not replace individual medical advice, one-on-one professional therapy, or any other type of traditional alcohol addiction support/therapy. The Sober School is an additional support resource that may complement your other endeavours to reduce your consumption of alcohol.
At The Sober School, we’re passionate about helping women to stop drinking or take a break from booze. If you join the Getting Unstuck course and don’t get value – or you feel your learning style doesn’t match how we teach – we’ll happily refund the money you’ve paid us under this Agreement, less any external fees, subject to the following conditions:
1) Completed Refund Request & Feedback Form
We’ll ask you to complete our Refund Request & Feedback Form, which you can obtain by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We require you to give a detailed explanation as to why you wish to apply for a refund and why you feel the course isn’t suitable for you. This is so we can pinpoint what didn’t work for you and make sure we learn and improve.
2) Deadline to Apply for Refund
To be eligible for a refund, you must submit a completed Refund Request & Feedback Form by 6pm BST on Sunday 9th October 2022. This deadline exists because if you sign up for Getting Unstuck, we want you to get started. If you don’t plan on starting right away, but want to sign up to the October 2022 class, we’d love to have you, but definitely make sure this is the right investment for you, as the refund does have a firm deadline.
3) Completed lessons
We’ll need to be able to see that you’ve engaged with the class. This means you will have marked at least two of the lessons as completed and answered at least two of the lesson questions. We’ll need to be able to see at least two of your answers to these questions.
No refunds will be issued before the start of the course – no exceptions.
Please do not enrol in Getting Unstuck if you just want to “check it out.” We put an extraordinary amount of time and effort into this programme, and we expect you to do the same. Getting Unstuck is for serious students only.
Refunds will be processed by the next business day. However, it can take 5-7 business days for your bank to clear these funds in your account. We will refund you via the credit card or debit card that you used to pay. Any additional currency conversion fee charged by your credit / debit card provider shall be refunded only at the sole discretion of your credit / debit card provider. The Sober School has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for this.
You are responsible for paying for the Getting Unstuck course in full (including all applicable sales and other taxes or fees) and for providing us with a valid credit card or other payment method. If you select the payment plan option, your card will be charged the first payment of £140 GBP when you register and subsequent payments of £140 GBP will be charged on the same day of the month for 3 months afterwards.
If you select the payment plan option and you miss a payment, your account status will be changed to “delinquent.” Your access to the course will be revoked 4 days after your payment declines. You will not receive access to the course again until all payment are made in full. If your account remains in delinquent status for longer than thirty (30) days, The Sober School reserves the right to report any delinquent balance owed to a debt collections agency subject to our sole discretion, until the account is caught up and in good standing.
To be clear, Getting Unstuck is not a subscription payment model, nor is it or a “pay in part” class where you can pay only for access to certain weeks and not others. This is a full immersion programme, and your payment plan is a convenience that we offer so that you can make the price sustainable. The Refund Policy outlined above also applies to payment plans and you will be responsible for all payments in the payment plan.
Requests to transfer your place to another Getting Unstuck class (in 2023) must be received by 6pm BST on Sunday 9th October 2022. Transfer requests will be considered on a case by case basis.
