Medical Disclaimer

Services, courses and advice provided by The Sober School are NOT aimed at any person who suffers from alcohol dependency or any other medical conditions. If you are (or suspect that you may be) physically alcohol dependent or are suffering from any other medical conditions, you must seek specific medical advice from a medical professional before reducing or stopping your alcohol intake.

Depending on your previous level of alcohol consumption, the physical consequences of stopping abruptly can be very serious. If you or someone you know needs more immediate support or treatment to reduce your alcohol intake, please contact your doctor or a healthcare professional.

The information provided by The Sober School does not replace individual medical advice, one-on-one professional therapy, or any other type of traditional alcohol addiction support/therapy. The Sober School is an additional support resource that may complement your other endeavours to reduce your consumption of alcohol.

Refund policy

At The Sober School, we’re passionate about helping women to stop drinking or take a break from booze. If you join the Getting Unstuck course and don’t get value – or you feel your learning style doesn’t match how we teach – we’ll happily refund the money you’ve paid us under this Agreement, less any external fees, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Completion of at least the first 3 lessons. We bring our A game here and give the course 100%, so we expect you to give this a proper shot. We’ll need to be able to see that you’ve marked the lessons as complete and we’ll also ask to see some of your homework answers.
  2. Refund deadline. To be eligible for a refund, please email support@thesoberschool.com with your refund request within the first 7 days of the course. We must receive your refund request in writing before 6pm GMT on Sunday 14th January 2024. This deadline exists because if you sign up for Getting Unstuck, we want you to get started. If you don’t plan on starting right away, but want to sign up to the January 2024 class, we’d love to have you, but definitely make sure this is the right investment for you, as the refund does have a firm deadline.
  3. Completion of a refund request form. We’ll ask you to fill out a form explaining why the course isn’t a great fit for you. You can request this form by emailing support@thesoberschool.com

Private coaching packages

The Getting Unstuck Extra Support Package is not refundable at any point, because of the extensive time, effort, preparation and care that goes into creating and preparing for your private sessions.

Please note:

Refunds for the Getting Unstuck course online programme will be processed by the next business day. However, it can take 5-7 business days for your bank to clear these funds in your account. We will refund you via the credit card or debit card that you used to pay. Any additional currency conversion fee charged by your credit / debit card provider shall be refunded only at the sole discretion of your credit / debit card provider. The Sober School has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for this.

Payment plans

You are responsible for paying for the Getting Unstuck course in full (including all applicable sales and other taxes or fees) and for providing us with a valid credit card or other payment method. If you select the payment plan option, your card will be charged the first payment when you register and subsequent payments will be charged on the same day of the month for 3 months afterwards.

If you select the payment plan option and you miss a payment, your account status will be changed to “delinquent.” Your access to the course will be revoked 4 days after your payment declines. You will not receive access to the course again until all payment are made in full. If your account remains in delinquent status for longer than thirty (30) days, The Sober School reserves the right to report any delinquent balance owed to a debt collections agency subject to our sole discretion, until the account is caught up and in good standing.

To be clear, Getting Unstuck is not a subscription payment model, nor is it or a “pay in part” class where you can pay only for access to certain weeks and not others. This is a full immersion programme, and your payment plan is a convenience that we offer so that you can make the price sustainable. The Refund Policy outlined above also applies to payment plans and you will be responsible for all payments in the payment plan.
