I know what it’s like to feel stuck.
For years I was desperate to stop drinking, but I hated the thought of life without wine.
Drinking was such a quick way to relax. It helped me switch off, calm down and feel more confident.
But I always drank more than I planned to. I hated waking up the next day and trying to work out what had happened.
I’d spend the day full of guilt, beating myself up for not being disciplined enough.
I’d swear that was it – I was done. But when 5pm hit, I’d change my mind. Suddenly I’d be convincing myself that ‘just one glass’ wouldn’t hurt…
I had my last drink in April 2013.
My life has changed dramatically since then…
I’m ten times happier and much, much healthier.
No, I don’t miss drinking in the slightest.
And yes, I still go to bars and parties and do all the other fun stuff I did before…
The only difference is I can remember it all the next day! 🙂
Deciding to live alcohol free is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
We only get one life – don’t let something like alcohol hold you back.
I know that if I can do this, so can you.
I don’t have magic powers. I just discovered a way of doing things, that’s worked really well for me and the women I coach.
Here’s what you should do next…
If you’re regularly drinking more than you intend to, and it’s making you miserable, then you owe it to yourself to explore alcohol-free living.
I’d strongly recommend you take a two or three month break from booze. Give sobriety a proper test drive and see how it feels. You need to put a bit of distance between you and your last drink, before you make any long term decisions.
